In this second part of our holiday season advice from some of the world’s leading marketplaces, we speak with Kacper Rozenbaum, Head of International Sales at Allegro, the leading online marketplace for the people of Poland.
So, take a short break from your holiday season preparations and have a quick look at what Allegro recommends. If you’ve got a little longer and want more suggestions, check out our previous post from Joom.com for their holiday season advice.
What is the #1 piece of advice you would give eSellers to help get their stores ready and maximize their sales this year?
It is important to make sure your offers stand out to make the most of the e-commerce boom that is still happening this year. On Allegro, the best way to do that is to pay close attention to your Sales Quality. Our dedicated panel lets you check how you’re doing compared to other sellers and gives you an overall grade. Importantly, your score in the panel impacts the position of your offers in search results.
What’s graded in the panel? Customer service has a huge impact on it, so make sure to answer customer messages quickly. The other important factor is the attractiveness of your offer, adding tracking numbers to orders and offering attractive delivery options. Making sure these areas are taken care of should be a priority.
What trends are you currently seeing among eSellers on Allegro?
We’ve noticed that our sellers have already started to prepare themselves for our biggest sales campaigns of the year, Smart! Week and Black Week.
They’re doing it by exploring more promotion tools to ensure they stand out when it’s most important. Allegro’s Deal Zone offers have a 60 times higher than average number of transactions than other Allegro offers, which is why more and more of our sellers are using it as an opportunity to grow quickly.
Are there any special features you’d like our eSellers to know about that would improve their success this holiday season?
This holiday season, it’s impossible to underestimate the power of quick and cheap delivery. That’s why our main tip for Allegro sellers is to join our Smart! program.
Smart! mans quick and free deliveries for buyers and it’s a great way for sellers to grow their sales. Additionally, Allegro covers most or all the delivery costs for Smart! parcels, depending on the method you choose, so it’s a cheap way to promote too. You can join the program if you send products from Poland, Germany, Czechia, France and the Netherlands.
