The event was attended by online professionals, agency owners and businessmen from as far as Multan, Faisalabad and Sialkot – including one of Payoneer’s earliest adopters. Speakers and panel members included some of the leading online entrepreneurs in the industry.
Monis Rahman, Chairman, CEO & Founder at Naseeb Networks spoke about the future of online entrepreneurship in Pakistan. He shared numbers placing freelancers in Pakistan among the top five ranks in the global gig economy. He further went on to explain how freelancers are the best hope to creating entrepreneurs in the country, paving a path for growing their business.
The panel was moderated by Badar Khushnood, Co-founder & VP of Growth at Bramerz.com, who led the discussion around Global Expansion for Businesses. Our panel members included: Waqas Khan Pitafi, CEO at DevBatch; Hassan Shahid, Co-founder of Kickstart co-working space; and Mohsin Muzaffer, Pakistan Country Manager, Payoneer. This was an interactive session with the audience, where the panelists discussed the importance of delivering on quality of work to gain and maintain international clients.
Following the panel, CEO at Outsourced Solutions, Tabish Nishat took the stage to speak about exceling in online business and being the best at it. He explained how doing ample research, staying up to speed about the latest trends and knowing one’s limits can help them succeed as an online professional in today’s competitive market.
This thought was further developed by freelance full-stack developer, Amin Shah Gilani, who discussed the Importance of Personal Growth to Drive Sales for Online Gigs. He spoke about personal growth as developing one’s skills and becoming an expert at what you do by building a brand to stand out in the crowd.
The Forum was wrapped up by Mohsin Muzaffer, Payoneer’s Pakistan Country Manager, who talked about the evolution of Payoneer from prepaid cards, to payment solutions to becoming the complete solution for businesses of all sizes, all around the world. He highlighted the bank withdrawal feature and spoke about how Payoneer’s online account empowers businesses and freelancers to get paid by marketplaces, platforms and international clients and suppliers.
