Biometric Data Processing Notice

This notice supplements our full Privacy Policy and describes how we and our service providers process your biometric data.

How and when we process your biometric data

When you open a Payoneer account, we and our third‑party service providers may use software that extracts facial scan information from the photos or videos you submit during the onboarding process. The software compares these scans with the image in your identification document(s) which you also provide during onboarding. Depending on applicable privacy laws, this type of facial data may be treated as biometric data.

We process your biometric data in this way as part of our checks to verify your identity. We do this to comply with Know Your Customer “KYC” obligations under anti-money laundering laws.

In some cases, this identity verification process may be repeated at other points during your relationship with Payoneer.

Consent

Where required by applicable privacy laws, we obtain your explicit consent to the processing of your biometric data. If you do not wish to consent, you can choose manual verification instead.
