We are seeking a detail-oriented KYC Representative to support customers across the Japan and Korea markets. This role focuses on end-to-end KYC reviews, ensuring compliance with regional regulations, and delivering seamless customer experience.

As a KYC Rep, you will be responsible for reviewing customer information and documentation, conducting KYC checks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves analyzing client data, identifying potential risks, and supporting ongoing due diligence processes. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to enhance efficiency, maintain a customer-focused approach, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
What you’ll do
- Conduct end-to-end KYC reviews for Japan and Korea customers
- Review and verify customer documentation using internal and external sources
- Approve, decline, or request additional documents to support onboarding decisions
- Perform periodic reviews and ongoing due diligence for existing customers
- Collaborating with Customer Care, Risk, and Compliance teams to reduce KYC-related inquiries
- Support localized customer experience for Japan and Korea markets
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases and support investigations
- Participate in team meetings to align with the needs of internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate a customer-focused, analytical, and strategic approach while maintaining a strong execution focus to drive transformation in customer businesses.
- Exhibit logical thinking and be a creative, proactive team player.
Qualifications & Requirements (Updated)
- 1–3 years of experience in KYC, AML, compliance, or risk operations
- Experience supporting APAC or multi-market operations (JP/KR preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Fluency in English (mandatory); Japanese and/or Korean (strongly preferred)
- Ability to multitask and meet SLA targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, solution-oriented with strong ownership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Nice to Have (Non-Mandatory):
- Familiarity with KYC/AML tools and data providers (e.g., World-Check, LexisNexis, Dow Jones)
- Exposure to AI-driven KYC and identity verification tools (e.g., Onfido, Trulioo, Sumsub)
- Experience working with automation or workflow tools to improve KYC efficiency.
