How can your Account be Protected
Your account login, personal data and all money transactions are protected by 128-bit encryption that makes them unreadable in the unlikely event someone was able to monitor the traffic between you and our server. Once your information reaches us, it is protected by state-of-the-art firewalls within our secured network. Each account is assigned with a unique username and password, chosen by the user, which is not even visible to Payoneer employees. For this reason, lost or forgotten passwords must be reissued in order to regain access to your account.
How can you Prevent Fraud and other Scams
We take security protection very seriously, and have made great investments in having a very robust fraud monitoring and security systems. Additionally, we have measures that regularly monitor all accounts for signs of suspicious activity and possible threats to our point of entry.
To guard against phishing scams, we will only send you personalized emails with your first name and username. In addition, we will never ask you to provide identifying information such as your name, password, credit/debit card number, identification number or bank account number by email. In order to keep Payoneer safe, please report any suspicious emails or websites to our Customer Service Department via phone at 1-800-251-2521 or by email at http://www.payoneer.com/emailform.aspx for immediate investigation. We take the security, privacy and safety of all data very seriously. Each account's data is held completely separately from all other account data. You cannot see anyone else's data from your account and no one else can see your data.
All accounts are protected by passwords which are chosen by you and may be changed by only you at any time. Passwords are encrypted and even Payoneer staff cannot read them. This is the reason why we cannot retrieve your password and have to issue you with a new one if you cannot recall it. All data is backed up continuously. Additionally, Payoneer has taken all reasonable measures to ensure the physical integrity and security of its data and is constantly reviewing the Business continuity procedures with regards to preventing losses through fire, theft and accidental damage. Our points of access are protected by state of the art firewalls and virus detection systems to protect data from being tampered with or fall under attack or any other unauthorized access. These systems are under constant review and are kept up to date with software patches to close potential loopholes in security as they are discovered.
