Getting paid quickly and conveniently is a major part of running your Amazon business. Below is a full guide on how to use Payoneer to easily and securely receive Amazon payments while helping expand your business to more Amazon stores worldwide
To get paid by Amazon, you will need a bank account. Payments are then made every two weeks to the bank account you instruct them to pay you to, minus any sales or Amazon Seller Central fees owing. Depending on what plan you are on, fees for inbound shipping, storage, and product refunds will also be deducted.
The only fees that are not deducted from your biweekly or monthly payments are the Advertising on Amazon fees. For these, you can use a credit card.
The reason Amazon holds on to these payments, usually for at least a week after each product is sold, is in case of any charges for returns that may occur.
Once payments are made, it then takes about 2-3 days before you’ll see the payment hit your designated bank account, though this can depend on the bank you use. In some cases, it can take up to 5 working days to receive payment.
In order to receive payments from your Amazon customers and store, you will first need to set up a relevant receiving account within Payoneer. Begin by ensuring you have a receiving account in the currency most appropriate to the Amazon store you are receiving payments from. See more about how to set up a local bank account in another country with Payoneer’s Global Payment Service.
Log in to Amazon Seller Central, making sure you have your Payoneer local bank account details to hand. For example, if logging into Amazon Seller Central on Amazon.com, you will need your Payoneer USD receiving account details.
To locate your details, log in to your Payoneer account, go to the Receive menu and then select Global Payment Service. Click USD to display your USD receiving account details.
Once logged in to Amazon Seller Central, begin by providing your business type and other relevant details and click ‘Agree and Continue’. Enter your address and phone number and after completing the verification process, click ‘Next’.
Enter the payment and banking details of your Payoneer USD receiving account and click ‘Next’ to complete the remain steps of your marketplace set-up.
When ready to withdraw earnings from Amazon Seller Central, simply click ‘Activity’ from your Payoneer dashboard, then ‘Withdraw’ on the main menu and then ‘to Bank Account’. And that’s it! Amazon will now send payments to your Payoneer USD receiving account.
If you’re selling on Amazon.com but are not a US resident, Amazon will ask you for tax verification. Simply sign the displayed document stating that you are neither a US citizen nor a US taxpayer. Until you do so, your payments and new product postings will stay pending. Amazon stores are similar across their different geographic domains.
