About Payoneer
Founded in 2005, Payoneer is the global financial platform that removes friction from doing business across borders, with a mission to connect the world’s underserved businesses to a rising global economy. We’re a community with over 2,500 colleagues all over the world, working to serve customers, and partners in over 190 countries and territories.
By taking the complexity out of the financial workflows–including everything from global payments and compliance to multi-currency and workforce management, to providing working capital and business intelligence–we give businesses the tools they need to work efficiently worldwide and grow with confidence.
We’re hiring a Senior Content Designer to join our product team and help shape clear, confident, and human experiences across Payoneer’s global payment products.
You’ll take ownership of content within complex product areas and help make difficult financial concepts simple – and maybe even delightful – to use.
What does the role entail?
- Owning and designing content for end-to-end user journeys across key areas of the Payoneer platform
- Defining content strategy and direction within your product space, not just executing on screens
- Partnering closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, Developers, Analysts, and Localization, and championing user understanding. We’re our users' partners on the inside
- Collaborating with marketing and product marketing teams, compliance, legal, and business teams to ensure our content is clear, compliant and consistent
- Working closely with other writers, such as Marketing or Support, to ensure a cohesive, end-to-end user experience. We all need to see the user journey holistically – no one writes in a vacuum
- Helping develop, apply, and consolidate our tone and voice, style-guide, and content design methodology
- Reviewing and raising content quality across your product area, and helping set clear standards for content design decisions
- Conducting user research and usability testing and turning insights into improvements and better UX
- Staying up to date with competitor platforms and flows, industry trends, and emerging technologies in financial technology and design
What kind of characteristics are we looking for?
Accountable | Adaptable | Collaborative | Communicative | Fast Learners | Independent | Motivated | Problem Solvers | Resilient | Technically Proficient
Are you the right person for the role? This is what we’re looking for:
- A professional content designer / UX writer with at least 4–5 years experience in a tech company (payments, banking, fintech is a strong advantage)
- It doesn’t matter where you were born, but native-level English is a deal-breaker. Hebrew is a big advantage (along with any other languages)
- Proven experience owning content across complex flows and influencing product decisions through content
- You’re a champion for common-sense, clarity, transparency, and user experience. But you’re also able to collaborate with other teams and disciplines - this is essential. You know when to put your foot down, and you know when to let go. Being right is not always the most important thing
- You’re a word geek. Hierarchy, information architecture, glossaries, documentation – these things make you feel warm and fuzzy
- You also know how to balance your craft with business needs, and how to use data, metrics, and OKRs to inform content decisions
- You know how to prioritize your workload. And you know how to prioritize a task – what needs to get done now, and what can wait for phase 2
- Proficiency in Figma is a must. Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure is an advantage
- Experience mentoring, reviewing, or guiding other writers is a plus
