We have an exciting and high-impact opportunity for a Director of Market Development – Latin America to join our Go-to-Market team in the region. This role reports directly to the SVP of Growth for Latin America and will define strategy, own growth plans, and drive business expansion in one of the most dynamic and rapidly fintech markets.

As the Director of Market Development, you will be at the forefront of our growth in Latin America, leading high-level strategic initiatives that shape the future of fintech in the region. Your work will involve deep market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer and partner insight discovery—all critical to accelerating business success. And you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Product, R&D, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, and regional Go-to-Market teams in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.

We’re looking for a top-tier consulting professional with a strong background in management consulting from a leading firm, business strategy, and data-driven decision-making. Exceptional analytical skills, executive-level communication, and a deep understanding of market dynamics are essential. Experience in payments, fintech, or financial services is highly preferred.

What you'll do:

Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth (ARPU, share of wallet, and total volume per customer).
  • Lead budget planning and resource allocation across LATAM markets, leveraging ROI modeling to prioritize investments.
  • Drive regional expansion strategies, identifying new business opportunities.

Regional SMBs Advocacy

  • Act as the regional voice within the company, ensuring that the unique challenges and opportunities of LATAM markets are represented in global decision-making.
  • Foster collaboration with key internal stakeholders (RevOps, FP&A, Data, Product, Compliance) to align on common goals and ensure smooth execution of initiatives.

Be the Thought Leader

  • Build and define regional strategies for B2B Payments, Workforce Management, Working Capital and other Company Grade Services to meet local customer’s needs.
  • Communicate short- and long-term opportunities and challenges through executive presentations, stakeholder workshops, and business reviews.
  • Utilize market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to influence and drive corporate strategic direction in the region.

Data Analysis and Storytelling

  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews to track and communicate business performance.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure data accuracy, optimize tools, and conduct deeper analysis on regional trends.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders, influencing decision-making at the highest level.

What we're looking for:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or MBA from a top-tier program is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategic planning, or general management, ideally in the fintech or payments space.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and executing strategic initiatives in Latam markets.
  • Strong executive communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and business execution skills.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and navigating complex organizational structures.
  • Management consulting experience from a top-tier firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Payments and/or fintech background is highly preferred
