About the role:
We're looking for a technology enthusiastic Team Leader with excellent interpersonal skills, a drive for excellence, and out-of-the-box mindset to lead Payoneer's DevOps Infrastructure team. We need someone who is creative, quick, effective and versatile - able to change directions in midstream while maintaining accountability and independence.
What youโll be spending your time on:
Leadership & Management Responsibilities
- Lead a team of DevOps Infrastructure Engineers in building and maintaining high-performance, fault-tolerant, scalable systems
- Collaborate closely with associate teams in the platform department
- Oversee team's deliverables design and architecture for infrastructure automation
- Coach and mentor your team - leading to success and meeting goals
- Report your team's KPIs and performance metrics
- Put focus on team professional and personal growth
- Become the technical authority for your team by demonstrating a hands-on leadership style
Technical Leadership Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain infrastructure pipelines and automation strategies
- Lead the automation of infrastructure layer for our private cloud and public cloud environments
- Drive the development and integration of infrastructure tools in support of production systems
- Oversee the automation of provisioning and configuration for Windows/Linux environments
- Work closely with platform departments to streamline their working methods
- Handle technical challenges like performance, scale, security, and live production issues
- As a core member of the leadership team, participate in 'On-Call' duties on Payoneer production systems, working in non-conventional hours including weekends and holidays (from time to time)
Have you done this kind of stuff?
- BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience as a hands-on technical leadership in a large-scale environment
- 5+ years of experience running production workloads (Private cloud, AWS, Azure or GCP)
- 3+ years of managerial experience
- Experience creating infrastructure as code solutions using tools such as: Terraform, Azure ARM templates, CloudFormation
- Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible and orchestration platforms like AWX, Ansible Tower
- High level Linux & Windows OS expertise
- Experience managing application servers and web servers
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Experience with CI/CD & GitOps tools and methodologies
- Solid experience with containerized environments and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiar with a microservices architecture and event-driven architecture
- Excellent Bash/Shell/Python scripting skills
Not a must but a great advantage
- Experience in SQL/NoSQL databases
- Experience with event streaming and messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus
- Experience with .Net Core and .Net Framework porting
- Knowledge and understanding of Storage and Networking
