My name is Jae-seop Lee, CEO at Krade International.
Krade International is a trading company that sells Korean products from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to global online markets such as Amazon, eBay, Rakuten and Qoo10. Since 2009, we’ve been working with our business partner in Australia to export fashion accessories from Korea’s famous local markets in Dongdaemun and Namdaemun. We discovered this opportunity while we were sourcing for clothing in China. Taking a closer look at our exporting business model, we realized that it could be more lucrative with accessories. So, we started selling in global online marketplaces, starting with eBay.
With the expansion of the ecommerce industry, local sellers find it increasingly challenging to stand out from other brands in the market. At Krade International, we take care of the branding and marketing activities for these SMEs to increase their global appeal and demand. We also conduct lectures to educate businesses about selling on global marketplaces. It has been a very rewarding experience.
Additionally, SMEs face the challenge of getting paid from overseas marketplaces. In the past, establishing a legal entity overseas was pretty much the only way to receive funds from companies operating in a different country.
Payoneer’s global payment service was the solution to the issue.
